99 year old swimmer breaks world record

A 99-year-old Australian swimmer appears to have smashed a world record for his age group in the 50m freestyle.
His time is 56.12 seconds at an official event in Queensland – a new benchmark for the 100-104 age category.
He was the only one competing in 100-104 age group. He only started up swimming again when he was 80 year old.

Mr Corones’s race took place just before the Australian Swimming Trials for the Commonwealth Games, which will begin on the Gold Coast next month.

I thought this was a really cool new to here because I never thought that a 99 year old cold swim really good.
I got the news off www.kiwikidsnew
